About the ARTIST<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel St-Amant, a native of the Eastern Townships in Melbourne, Quebec, has cultivated a remarkable ability to blend natural and urban elements in his artwork. His passion for artistic expression was ignited early on through experiences like camping, fishing, and photography, fostering a deep connection to the natural world. This early fascination led him to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts at NSCAD University, following his foundational studies at Champlain College.<\/p>\n

Immersed in NSCAD\u2019s contemporary approach to art, Daniel was inspired to push the boundaries of traditional mediums. He adeptly incorporates a diverse array of materials, including mosses, dried flowers, sticks, stones, and crushed cement, to create pieces that are rich in texture and depth. Notably, Daniel\u2019s artistry shines in his realistic depictions of creatures intertwined with urban elements such as graffiti and tire tracks, a poignant representation of the ongoing conflict between urbanization and nature.<\/p>\n

Technical Details<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oxygen Gallery uses high quality museum level matt canvas with an acrylic primer as its foundation.\u00a0 Once the canvas is prepared the artwork is brought to life using acrylic ink that is environmentally friendly.\u00a0 \u00a0 Each canvas is also given 1.75 inch of extra boarder on each side for stretching.<\/p>\n

Oxygen Coating<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once the ink is applied the canvas will be left to set for 30 minutes before a first Oxygen coating is applied.\u00a0 \u00a0After 3 hours a second coating is added and after 24 hours a third and final coating of Oxygen is added at which point the canvas is transformed into an air purifier with ionic powers ready to bring cleaner air to any room.\u00a0 \u00a0Every Oxygen artwork is suitable for 80 sq\/ft radius.<\/p>\n
